Subsidised Supervisor Training

Fruit Growers Tasmania | Wednesday, 31 August 2022, 10.00am

Hort training

Recent changes to the horticultural award highlight that upskilling supervisory staff to achieve productivity gains whilst maintaining compliance with record keeping and communicating with staff is essential for Tasmanian horticultural producers.

TasTAFE is offering a new training opportunity for up to 75 participants from the fruit sector across three regional locations throughout Tasmania. The training is valued at $2,100, but is now available to eligible participants for as little as $210 per person, thanks to support from Skills Tasmania.

Growers in the past have expressed the importance of training and upskilling, and now the opportunity is available, they need to utilise it to ensure these training opportunities will be supported into the future.

Enrolments opened on the 25 July. TasTAFE business coordinators are available to assist growers with enrolment for the following commencement dates.
• Clarence – Thursday 15 September
• Alanvale – Monday 19 September
• Burnie – Monday 10 October
• Alanvale – Tuesday 11 October
• Clarence – Thursday 13 October

Call Julian Abbott on 0439 414 879 or Jodie McNab on 03 6777 2698 for more details or alternatively registrations for current dates and expressions of interest for additional sessions can be lodged via the TasTAFE website.
