Board elections
Each year, Fruit Growers Tasmania holds a four week nomination period in the weeks leading up to the organisation's AGM to identify and vote on (if necessary) which members of industry will be appointed to the Board of Fruit Growers Tasmania.
In 2026 this nomination period ran from 3 August until 31 August.
Three positions were up for renewal in 2026.
These were:
- Two (2) x Stone Fruit representatives.
- One (1) x Pome Fruit representative.
- Nil (0) x Berry Fruit representatives.
At the close of the nomination period, the following nominations were received:
- Sam Riggall - Stonefruit representative
- Nic Hansen - Stonefruit representative
- Andrew Scott - Pomefruit representative
As the nominations received matched the current vacancies, all are taken to be elected to the Board until the 2028 Annual General Meeting.
Fruit Growers Tasmania would like to thank the nominees, and the ongoing Board members, for their interest and commitment to Fruit Growers Tasmania and the Tasmanian fruit industry.
