Berry industry information day

FGT & Berries Australia will be hosting a berry industry information day at Launceston's Tailrace Centre on Tuesday, 10 March 2019.
Presenting on the day will be Klaas Plas (Berry Konsult) principal berry consultant for Berry Konsult in the Netherlands. Klaas more than 30 years experience in all facets of European berry production.
Also presenting on the day will be Michael Gangi, senior berry agronomist for EE Muir and Sons. Michael has 10 years experience in berry production production across Victoria and NSW.
Both presenters will share their insights into new and emerging berry varieties in Australia and Europe, advances in strawberry production systems, changes in IPM and pest management options for producers. Klaas will also share observations and lessons learnt by European berry producers following the introduction and spread of SWD across the Europe, and the management and financial impacts this has caused for affected businesses.
