Fruit Growers Tasmania | Monday, 27 May 2019, 4.30pm
Dr. Lisa Evans is an early-career biologist with a special interest in behaviour and ecology of social hymenoptera.
Lisa is working with Plant and Food Research Australia’s Pollination & Apiculture team to improve and diversify pollination practices and quantify the pollination contributions of flower visiting insects in different crop systems.
Lisa is research leader for a 3 year Sustainable Farming Fund programme which aims to optimise pollination of kiwifruit under covers without impacting honey bee hive health.
Lisa will be speaking as part of our Friday berry concurrent session. She will also be sharing some of her ideas during the Thursday field visit, and will be on-hand to answer all sorts of pollination questions.
