Fruit Growers Tasmania AGM 2021

FGT will be holding its 2021 AGM on Thursday, 16 September 2021.

This year's AGM will be held at the same time across 3 regional venues to make the AGM accessible to as many members as possible. These venues are

  • Royal Yacht Club of Tasmania, Marieville Esplanade, Sandy Bay TAS 7005. Map
  • Franklin Room, Country Club Casino, Prospect Vale TAS 7250. Map
  • Spreyton Cider Co. Cidery, 6 Melrose Rd, Spreyton TAS 7310. Map

Members attending the event are encouraged to RSVP by 14 September 2021 to allow for attendance lists to be confirmed, including voting arrangements.

Board Member Elections

This year, the Board will be electing members to fill the following positions:

  • Pomefruit Industry Representative   (3 positions available)
  • Stonefruit Industry Representative   (1 position available)
  • Berry Industry Representative          (2 positions available)

Nominations for these have now closed.

Ballots

A ballot of members for the Berry Industry Representative is currently underway due to the number of nominations received. This ballot is only open to member businesses registered with FGT as berry producers, with one ballot paper to be issued to each business.

To have your say, simply fill out and return your voting ballot paper by Wednesday, 15 September 2021.

Voting can be done in person by visiting the FGT Office, or by completing a postal ballot. To be issued with a postal ballot, simply contact us at email admin@fruitgrowerstas.org.au and we will organize for a postal ballot to be sent to you at your listed mail address.

Results from the ballot will be announced at the AGM.

Voting Eligibility

Just a reminder that voting on these business items and board elections is restricted to financial members of the association from either the 2020/21 or 2021/22 financial years and members are encouraged to check their eligibility with the FGT office prior to the event.
