Fruit Growers Tasmania AGM 2020

FGT will be holding its 2020 AGM on Wednesday, 28 October 2020.

 

Venue

Royal Yacht Club of Tasmania (RYCT)

Members unable to attend in person will be able to join the meeting by digital or telephone hookup. Members wishing to join digitally should contact the FGT office prior to the meeting to request meeting sign-in details. 

RSVPs

Members attending the event are encouraged to RSVP by 20 October 2020 to allow for catering including a light lunch.

Meeting papers

Meeting papers will be put online for members to view from the 7 October 2020. Physical copies will also be available on the day.

Elections

Grower members of the association are eligible for nomination to join the board. Nominations will be open from are open from 2 September 2020 until 30 September 2020.

Nomination form

Staff will confirm the number and eligibility of nominations received, and by 7 October 2020 will notify members of any ballots to be undertaken. In the event of a ballot being required, postal ballot papers will be issued to members 14 days before the AGM.

Members are encouraged to return their completed ballot papers quickly, with completed ballots to be received by the FGT Office no later than 27 October 2020

FGT staff will be collecting candidate photos and statements to circulate out to members to assist the voting process. Candidates can take advantage of this by emailing their nomination form, a photo and a short statement (maximum 200 words) to the FGT office by 5 October 2020.

Voting Eligibility

Just a reminder that voting on these business items and board elections is restricted to financial members of the association from the 2019/20 or 2020/21 financial years and members are encouraged to check their eligibility with the FGT office prior to the event.
