The Australian Government is negotiating a trade agreement with the EU. The EU has asked Australia to protect a list of product terms, known as geographical indications. The Public Objections Procedure provides Australian industry and stakeholders with an opportunity to make their interests known so the Government can fully represent them in the negotiations.
The Department of Agriculture is running an information session in Hobart on the Australia–European Union Free Trade Agreement in relation to geographical based issues.
Event registration is not needed for this event.
