Blueberry Industry Support Program

The Tasmanian Blueberry Industry Support Program is a discretionary grants program to support blueberry producers in adopting practices that prevent and/or control blueberry rust.

Funded by the Tasmanian Government and administered by Fruit Growers Tasmania, the program provides financial support to businesses to implement practices, technologies and systems which the applicant identifies as helping them protect their business from blueberry rust.

Support grants are available in the following streams:

Infection support payments

Available to businesses where blueberry rust has been detected, this grant provides eligible businesses financial support of up to $5000 to respond to blueberry rust and implement business changes to ensure business continuity.

Preventative Practices payments

This grant provides eligible businesses free of blueberry rust with the financial support of up to $1000 to investigate and implement practices and systems which reduce the risk of blueberry rust establishment within their properties. Businesses looking to collaborate on a larger project should contact FGT for assistance in creating an application.

We expect that there may be a high level of interest in this grant opportunity, and it may be oversubscribed. Grants will be awarded to eligible applicants on a first come, first served basis until the funding is exhausted.
